Parlor Songs Sheet Music Reproductions

We know that many of you are musicians and want to play this wonderful old music yourself for your friends and family, or just for your own enjoyment. Of course, all of the music featured at parlorsongs is long out of print. To aquire this music is difficult, but now parlorsongs.com's reprint service makes it easy to get high quality reproductions. We create facsimiles (not photocopies, we call them reprints) of any of the public domain non-copyright material from our collection. We typeset them using a professional music notation program and print them on a high quality large format printer (or make them available as a PDF you can print.). We do not sell the originals from our collection. The cost of the hard copy is $7 (includes domestic US shipping, for international shipments contact us) or for the PDF, $5. The hard copy comes in a full size 8.5" X 11" fold out on glossy heavy (110 lb.) paper which also includes a print of the original cover (on the cover of course) and comes with a small 1/2 size booklet; a study score. We now accept credit cards through Pay Pal but do trust our customers so cash orders are welcomed. We produce the sheet music, ship it to you and if you find it acceptable, you pay us,otherwise you return the material.

If you would like a print of any of the music on our site, just e-mail us to place an order and tell me if you want a PDF version (we send as an e-mail attachment) or hard copy.

If hard copy, let us know the address to mail it to. Then it usually takes
less than a week to get it to you, depending on our workload at the time. If
by chance, you select an item still in copyright, we will advise you and will be unable to create sheet music for it. If you have any other questions, please let us know.

To Order Sheet Music

Simply e-mail us a list of the music you want and we will advise you of availability*, print it and mail it to you as fast as we can. We will even discount multiple copies so that your price will actually be less if you order more. We will quote you a final price and offer you the option of MasterCard or Visa payment or Cash at that time.

And, a Special Bonus Disc of Irving Berlin War Songs.
As with World War Two, many prominent entertainers and songwriters joined the fight during World War 1 by enlisting (or being drafted) in the military. Irving Berlin was barely under the maximum age of 31 when he received notice of his induction into the Army in July of 1918. He never saw action but instead, spent his time at Fort Upton on Long Island, NY and there he used his talents in writing and producing an influential musical production Yip, Yip, Yaphank. He also wrote many other songs for the War and this disc provides but a small but outstanding look at his huge production. This disc is priced at $10. However, if purchased with the above two WWI discs, you can receive it for only an additional $5.

Our Prior Releases:

Rich Beil sings early Irving Berlin Songs
with Debbie Purdue

In keeping with Parlorsongs’ mission of preserving this musical heritage, and to make our own small contribution to music’s historical record, in 2009 we released a CD set entitled “Irving Berlin, Songs of the Young Master”.  It is the second ParlorSongs offering that includes vocal tracks and we have taken great care to bring you the songs in their entirety. The author of this article (Rich Beil) and and our new female vocalist, Debbie Purdue, have provided their great talent to sing these great old songs for the CD production"

While copies of old vocal recordings are available, they are recordings done in the days of singing into a megaphone.  Even with filtering and digital enhancement, the result is still a recording with very limited and compressed sonic range and unclear instrumentation.  And, many of the vocal renditions are just lost forever. Although Irving Berlin penned a complete body of patriotic songs during World War I, this set presents only his popular songs during the period.  Our next project, planned for release some time next winter, will include no fewer than 10 of the patriotic songs he wrote from 1914-1917, including Oh, How I Hate To Get Up in the Morning, For Your Country and My Country, and I've Got My Captain Working For Me Now.  The working title of this next CD is Songs of the Great War. (See above for release information)

Proceeds from the sale of this CD help us at Parlor Songs defray expenses and continue to bring you America's songs from Tin Pan Alley. If you'd like to buy either volume 1 or 2 or both now, for US addresses, you can do so via PayPal using your Mastercard, Visa or Discover card using the following "buy now" button.

Our Prior New Release, January, 2009

Rich Beil sings The Lost Verses

This CD was an exciting addition to our store. For the first time, we have produced a CD that includes the vocal track with full original lyrics sung by Rich Beil of Gatesville, Texas. Rich is a long-time performer of the "old songs" which we feature on ParlorSongs and a frequent contributor to our Association. With this CD you not only get great piano performances but can now hear the songs as they were written and intended to be sung. Over the years, many familiar songs from the past have only been sung in the form of the chorus. As a result, many of the verses are simply long gone from our memories. Rich brings you many familiar songs you may have thought you knew. Now he will bring you the songs as you've probably never heard them; the "lost" verses. The CD also features all new piano track arrangements of these songs played in the style of the times. We believe that this CD would make a great, inexpensive gift for an elderly loved one, to bring them moments of joy and fond memories of days gone by.  Or, you may want your own copy to share this rich musical heritage with your own children and grandchildren.
